This blanket is effectively waterproof. A great item to have for protecting couches, car seats, beds, etc. from spills, wet kids, pets, or people from soaking or staining your upholstery. The fleece surface is soft and smooth. The blanket is kind of heavy and stiff due to the TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) inner layer. Basically, a plastic tarp bonded between two fleece blankets. Also, blanket is noisy- It sounds like muffled rustling and rumpling when bunched or moved. But, when spread over a bed or couch to be used as a moisture barrier, it is soft, smooth and quiet.
As a blanket or comforter, not so great. It does retain some body warmth, but is also kind of clammy and damp after a while, like sleeping wrapped in a plastic tarp.
Water proof qualities are excellent. Water poured on it will nor soak through.
After a weekend of use as a bed cover, I put it through the laundry. It washed and dried with no problems or drama.

The blanket is incredibly cozy, and much heavier and thicker than I initially anticipated. This added weight and thickness give the blanket a feeling of luxuriousness that I have not experienced with other blankets. It provides a level of warmth and comfort that is unparalleled.
Not only do I love curling up with this blanket on the couch or in bed, but my puppy Archie seems to be drawn to it as well. He loves snuggling up with me in it and seems to find it as comfortable as I do.

The Bedding Aid Waterproof Reversible Blanket (Beige/Greyish Blue, 203cm x 229cm) came packed inside a heavy duty clear plastic bag. A 38mm wide beige ribbon, wrapped around its length and width, was finished with a large bow, which IMO was a nice presentation feature.
This Waterproof Reversible Blanket is quite weighty, beautifully finished, feels very soft and warm. and is an excellent product throughout.
Its 203cm x 229cm size is ideal for protecting a very large settee, when my nephew and his family visit with their 2 dogs. They are fully house trained, and so the Blanket’s waterproofing is unlikely to be tested, but the settee will be extremely well protected from dirty paws, dog hairs etc. The only problem I can foresee is, that this Waterproof Reversible Blanket is so comfortable, soft, and warm, that they might be reluctant to go home!
